Your vitamin could be skewing your blood tests
NCT ID NCT07302880
Summary
This study investigates how taking biotin (vitamin B7) supplements can interfere with common blood tests, potentially leading to inaccurate results. Researchers will give 24 healthy adults either biotin or a placebo and measure how it affects various lab tests over several hours. The goal is to understand when this interference happens and create guidelines to help doctors interpret test results correctly for patients who take biotin.
