NCT ID NCT07320144

First seen Jan 11, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at whether adding education about stress, pain, and sleep habits to standard physiotherapy can improve symptoms for people with temporomandibular disorders (TMD). TMD causes jaw pain, limited movement, stress, sleep problems, and teeth grinding. The study will involve 40 adults diagnosed with TMD who also have stress, sleep issues, or bruxism. Participants will either receive physiotherapy alone or physiotherapy combined with a biopsychosocial approach. The goal is to see if this combined approach reduces stress and improves sleep and teeth grinding more than physiotherapy alone.
