New biologic brace aims to keep kneecaps in place after first dislocation

Summary
This study tests whether adding a special biologic scaffold (Biobrace®) to standard ligament repair can lower the chance of the kneecap dislocating again. It includes 20 people aged 13–30 who have had a first-time kneecap dislocation within the past week. The goal is to see if this approach reduces repeat dislocations compared to the usual 30% recurrence rate.
