Milkshake diet may boost Crohn's drug success in children
NCT ID NCT07522528
First seen Apr 18, 2026 · Last updated May 14, 2026 · Updated 4 times
Summary
This study looks at whether replacing normal food with special milkshakes for 6 weeks can help biologic drugs work better for children aged 6-18 with active Crohn's disease. Crohn's is a long-term gut condition that needs ongoing management. The goal is to see if this diet reduces gut inflammation more than just taking the drug alone. Participants are randomly assigned to either follow the milkshake diet or eat normally.
