Scientists test 'Bionic Ear' to restore balance in dizzy patients
NCT ID NCT06805175
Summary
This study is testing an experimental inner ear implant designed to help adults with severe balance problems who haven't improved with standard treatments. The device, called BionicVEST2, is surgically placed behind the ear and sends signals to the balance nerve. Researchers will check if it safely improves walking stability and reduces dizziness over six months in 18 participants.
