Robot pancreas trial offers hope for complex diabetes
NCT ID NCT06449677
Summary
This study is testing whether an automated insulin delivery system, called the bionic pancreas, can help people with cystic fibrosis-related diabetes better manage their blood sugar compared to their usual care. The trial will involve 150 participants aged 14 and older who will use the device for 13 weeks while researchers measure how well it keeps blood sugar in a healthy range. After the initial period, all participants will have the chance to use the automated system.
