Mind-Controlled bionic arms get first human test
NCT ID NCT07325708
Summary
This is a first-in-human study to test the safety and performance of a new implantable sensor system designed to improve control of prosthetic arms. Ten adults with a below-elbow or wrist amputation will have small sensors surgically placed in their residual limb muscles. Researchers will check if the system allows for more natural, intuitive control of a prosthetic hand during everyday tasks.
