Blood test could warn of dangerous infections after open-heart surgery
NCT ID NCT07376070
Summary
This study aims to find specific signs in the blood that can predict who might develop a serious chest wound infection after open-heart surgery. Researchers will follow 30 patients who have already developed this infection to look for patterns in their blood tests before and after surgery. The goal is to create a warning system so doctors can prevent these infections in future patients.
