Summary
This study aims to find substances in the blood (biomarkers) that can act as early warning signs for a severe condition called acute mesenteric ischemia, where the intestines lose blood flow. Researchers will analyze blood samples from 556 adults with sudden severe abdominal pain to identify these signs. The goal is to create a faster, more accurate test to help doctors diagnose this deadly condition before permanent damage occurs.
