New plastic crowns put to the test in Kids' teeth

NCT ID NCT06847646

Summary

This study tested if a newer, tooth-colored plastic crown (BioFlex) works as well as the traditional stainless steel crown for fixing cavities in children's baby molars. Researchers placed the crowns on 74 children aged 4-8 and followed them for a year to see which type held up better, caused fewer problems, and made kids and parents happier. They also checked if the crowns affected the child's bite or jaw joint.
