First seen Mar 18, 2026 · Last updated Apr 30, 2026 · Updated 2 times

Summary

This study tests special screws that dissolve over time, used in foot and ankle surgeries for fractures, bone realignment, or joint fusion. About 125 adults will be followed for 4 years to see how well bones heal and if there are any side effects. The goal is to see if these screws are a safe and effective alternative to permanent metal hardware.
