Lab-Grown skin tested as new hope for burn victims

NCT ID NCT03227146

Summary

This study is testing a new lab-grown skin substitute for treating serious burns. It compares this engineered skin to the current standard treatment, skin grafts taken from the patient's own body. The goal is to see if the new skin covers more area with less donor skin needed and leads to better-looking, more flexible scars. The trial involves teens and adults with deep burns.
