Researchers track hearing skills in cochlear implant users with natural hearing

NCT ID NCT07356128

First seen Jan 22, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 20 times

Summary

This study looks at how children and adults who have a cochlear implant and some natural hearing in the same ear use sound cues to understand speech and locate where sounds come from. Researchers will measure hearing abilities before and after the implant is activated. The goal is to better understand how this combination of electric and natural hearing works, especially in children.
