First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 15, 2026 · Updated 23 times

Summary

This study looks at how children and adults who have a cochlear implant and some natural hearing in both ears can understand speech in noisy environments and locate where sounds come from. Researchers will test 160 participants, including those with normal hearing and those with hearing loss, to learn how combining electric and acoustic hearing helps. The goal is to give audiologists better information to improve hearing care.
