New hearing aid tuning method aims to help people hear speech in noisy places

Summary
This study tests whether a new method of adjusting hearing aids and cochlear implants (called tonotopy-based fitting) helps people understand speech better in noisy environments compared to the standard method. About 20 adults with hearing loss in both ears who are getting a cochlear implant will try both approaches in a random order. The goal is to see which fitting strategy improves hearing in everyday situations.
