Stent showdown: finding the best way to clear dangerous bile duct stones in High-Risk patients
NCT ID NCT07337291
Summary
This study aimed to find the best way to use temporary plastic tubes (stents) to help clear large, stubborn bile duct stones in people with advanced liver cirrhosis. It compared four different stent setups in 400 high-risk patients whose stones could not be removed during their first procedure. The goal was to see which method worked best to clear the stones in a follow-up procedure while causing the fewest complications.
