Summary

This early-stage study tested a new drug, BI 3706674, in 47 adults with advanced stomach, esophageal, or gastroesophageal junction cancer that had not responded to prior treatments. The drug is taken as a tablet and works by blocking growth signals in cancer cells. The main goals were to find a safe dose and see if the drug could shrink tumors. The study is now complete and no longer enrolling new participants.
