New pill targets KRAS mutation in Hard-to-Treat cancers

Summary
This early-phase study tests a new daily pill, BI 1823911, in adults with advanced solid tumors (like lung, colorectal, pancreatic, or bile duct cancer) that have a specific KRAS G12C mutation and have stopped responding to other treatments. The study aims to find the safest dose of BI 1823911 when taken alone or with another KRAS-targeting drug (BI 1701963), and to see if the combination can shrink tumors. Participants stay on treatment as long as it helps and side effects are manageable.
