First human test for new kidney disease drug begins

Summary

This is an early-stage study to check if a new drug called BHV-1400 is safe for people with IgA nephropathy, a disease that damages the kidneys. The study will enroll 20 adults who have had the disease confirmed by a kidney biopsy. Researchers will closely monitor participants for any side effects or changes in lab tests to see if the drug is well-tolerated.
