New combo training boosts leg strength and balance in stroke patients
NCT ID NCT07138118
First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 06, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested a 5-week exercise program for people who had a stroke 1 to 6 months ago. The program combined gentle leg exercises with a blood flow restriction cuff and thinking tasks (like walking while counting). 28 participants were split into two groups: one did the combo training, the other did thinking tasks alone. The goal was to see if the combo training could improve leg strength, walking ability, and fall stability better than thinking tasks alone.
