New spine landmark could make anesthesia safer

NCT ID NCT07396961

Summary

This study aims to find a better way for doctors to locate the correct spot in the lower back for spinal anesthesia. Researchers will compare a new method (the ASIS line) against the current standard (Tuffier's line) in 140 adults. Using ultrasound to check accuracy, they want to see if the new method gives more consistent results when patients are lying on their side.
