First seen Feb 21, 2026 · Last updated May 16, 2026 · Updated 11 times

Summary

This study tests a new, more detailed PET scan to see if it can tell the difference between cancer that is still there and normal swelling after radiation treatment. 180 adults with head and neck cancer will get this scan 3 months after finishing radiation. The goal is to help doctors make better decisions without needing extra biopsies or guesswork.
