New scan aims to find hidden parathyroid tumors
NCT ID NCT05891769
Summary
This study is testing a new type of PET/CT scan to better locate parathyroid adenomas (small, benign tumors) in patients. It's for people whose standard scan results were unclear or negative, but who still have high calcium and parathyroid hormone levels. The goal is to see if this newer scan can find tumors that the older scan missed, which could help guide treatment.
