First seen Nov 01, 2025 · Last updated May 01, 2026 · Updated 23 times
Summary
This study is testing a newer type of PET/CT scan (using 18F-fluorocholine) to find parathyroid adenomas in people whose standard scans were negative or unclear. About 100 adults with high calcium and parathyroid hormone levels will get this scan. The goal is to see if the new scan can detect more adenomas than the standard test.
