New score aims to predict who will be hard to breathe for during surgery

NCT ID NCT07275502

Summary

This study aims to create a better, data-driven scoring system to identify patients who will be difficult to ventilate with a facemask during anesthesia. Researchers analyzed data from 423 adult patients undergoing surgery to find objective signs that predict this difficulty. The goal is to give doctors a more reliable tool to spot potential breathing problems before they happen, which could improve patient safety.
