New scan aims to spot lung cancer faster, cut unnecessary tests

NCT ID NCT06440616

Summary

This study is testing a new, more detailed type of CT scan (called photon counting CT) to see if it helps doctors better diagnose lung cancer. It will involve 1,000 people who are suspected of having lung cancer. The main goal is to see if this advanced scan provides clearer information, which could lead to fewer unnecessary follow-up tests and more accurate staging of the cancer.
