Emergency room trial aims to end the 'IV Stick' nightmare

NCT ID NCT06668766

Summary

This study aims to find the best type of IV catheter for emergency room patients whose veins are difficult to access. Researchers will compare a standard 2-inch long IV with a longer 4-inch 'midline' catheter to see which one stays in place longer and causes fewer complications. The goal is to reduce the number of painful needle sticks and improve the experience for these patients.
