Simple tilt tested to make emergency breathing tube insertion safer

NCT ID NCT04716218

Summary

This study looked at whether tilting a patient's head and shoulders up makes it easier for doctors to see the airway and place a breathing tube when using a video scope. Researchers tested this position on 64 patients who had their neck and jaw movement artificially restricted to simulate a difficult airway. The goal was to see if this simple adjustment improves the view and makes the intubation process faster and easier.
