New test could find hidden cause of high blood pressure without stopping meds
NCT ID NCT06941116
Summary
This study is testing a new blood test to more accurately find a specific, treatable cause of high blood pressure called primary aldosteronism. Researchers want to see if this new test works well even while people stay on their regular blood pressure pills, avoiding the need to stop them. About 400 adults with high blood pressure will have their blood tested twice to compare the new method to the old one.
