New soccer concussion test aims to stop dangerous early returns to play
NCT ID NCT07431320
Summary
This study aims to create and test new, more realistic on-field exercises to better assess concussions in soccer players. Researchers will work with 100 male professional and youth academy players to see if these game-like tasks give clearer information about a player's brain function after a head injury. The goal is to help doctors make safer decisions about when an athlete is truly ready to return to the field, reducing the risk of playing too soon.
