Second look with clear cap aims to catch more hidden colon polyps

NCT ID NCT07261319

Summary

This study is testing if taking a second look at the lower part of the colon using a clear plastic cap on the camera helps doctors find more precancerous growths (polyps) during a routine colonoscopy. It will involve about 614 adults aged 45-75. The goal is to see if this simple extra step improves the quality of colon cancer screening by reducing missed polyps.
