Shining a light on Kids' cavities: study tests new decay detection tool
NCT ID NCT07250022
Summary
This study aims to find the best way to spot leftover tooth decay in children's cavities after a gentle, drill-free filling procedure. Researchers will compare a special fluorescent light device, a colored dye, and the dentist's standard visual check in about 212 healthy children aged 4-9. The goal is to improve the accuracy of detecting hidden decay to help fillings last longer.
