Robot vs. nurse: the fight to keep your lungs safe during surgery

NCT ID NCT07017205

Summary

This study is testing if a new automatic device is better than the standard manual method at keeping the right pressure in a breathing tube during surgery. The goal is to prevent tiny amounts of fluid from leaking past the tube into the lungs, which can lead to pneumonia. Researchers will also check if the automatic device causes fewer sore throats and voice problems after surgery.
