Summary
This study tested whether a low-residue full nutritive formula powder taken with a smaller amount of laxative (2 liters instead of 3) could still clean the bowel well for colonoscopy, while reducing side effects like bloating and nausea. Over 750 adults scheduled for colonoscopy took part. The goal was to see if the new approach was as effective as the standard diet plus 3 liters of laxative, but with fewer discomforts.
