New imaging tech could help doctors place artery stents more precisely

NCT ID NCT05057637

Summary

This study is testing whether a high-resolution imaging tool called OCT helps doctors better plan stent placement for blocked leg arteries. It compares OCT to the standard imaging method (DSA) in 25 patients receiving stents. The goal is to see if OCT changes treatment decisions and provides more detailed information about the artery wall to potentially improve stent outcomes.
