New scan challenges old test for pinpointing problem adrenal glands

NCT ID NCT06833437

Summary

This study aims to see if a new type of PET/CT scan is as good as the current standard test at figuring out which adrenal gland is causing problems in patients with high blood pressure and hormone issues. About 178 adults with adrenal nodules will get both tests in a random order. The goal is to see which test better guides doctors toward the right treatment, like surgery, by checking if patients' hormone levels return to normal afterward.
