Scientists track Supplement's journey into Mother's milk

NCT ID NCT07243678

Summary

This study aims to understand how much of a nutrient called betaine gets into breast milk after a mother takes it as a supplement. Researchers will measure levels in milk from 10 breastfeeding mothers at different times after taking two different doses. The main goal is to see how the supplement moves into milk and check for any side effects, not to treat a medical condition.
