Common supplement tested to lower stomach cancer risk
NCT ID NCT06272500
Summary
This study is testing whether betaine hydrochloride, a supplement that provides stomach acid, can lower high gastrin levels in people with autoimmune gastritis. High gastrin is linked to an increased risk of developing certain stomach tumors. The researchers aim to see if this simple treatment can help control the condition and reduce future cancer risk for these patients.
