First seen Feb 18, 2026 · Last updated May 10, 2026 · Updated 9 times

Summary

This study looks at whether low-dose beta-blocker medication can reduce dangerous heart rhythms in people who survived a cardiac arrest with no clear cause. About 218 adults who already have an implanted defibrillator (ICD) will be followed for up to 3 years. The goal is to see if the drug lowers the chance of needing a shock from the device and improves quality of life.
