This study looked at 86 children who had surgery to fix a common birth defect where the urine opening is on the underside of the penis (distal hypospadias). The goal was to find the best method and length of time for draining urine after surgery to prevent complications like fistulas. Researchers compared using a tube in the urethra alone versus adding a tube through the belly, and draining for one week versus two weeks.
