Sitting Cross-Legged could help save lives in ground emergencies

NCT ID NCT07165314

Summary

This study tested whether doctors sitting cross-legged at a patient's head helps them place a breathing tube correctly on the first try during ground-level emergencies. It compared this 'Lotus' position against doctors choosing their own position. The trial involved 72 novice doctors and medical students practicing on mannequins to see which method was more successful and faster.
