Search for the sweet spot: lower dose may stop chemo sickness without the sleepiness

NCT ID NCT07403370

Summary

This study is analyzing existing research to find the best dose of the drug olanzapine for preventing severe nausea and vomiting caused by strong chemotherapy. It compares three doses (2.5mg, 5mg, and 10mg) to see if lower doses work as well as the standard 10mg dose but cause less daytime sleepiness. The goal is to help cancer patients better tolerate their treatment by managing this difficult side effect.
