Finding the gentlest drill: study tests 5 ways to prepare bone for dental implants
NCT ID NCT07234214
Summary
This study tested five different ways to prepare the jawbone for a dental implant. One hundred healthy adults each received one implant and were randomly assigned a drilling method, ranging from very slow to fast speeds, or two special techniques that compact rather than cut bone. Researchers measured how stable the implant was and how anxious patients felt, aiming to find the technique that best supports healing while keeping patients comfortable.
