Simple scan could guide safer recovery after anesthesia

NCT ID NCT07211074

Summary

This study looked back at past patient records to find the best air pressure setting on hospital breathing machines. The goal was to see which setting best prevents the lungs from collapsing after surgery, a common problem. Researchers used a simple, safe ultrasound scan at the bedside to check patients' lungs before and after their operations.
