Summary
This study aimed to find the best way to detect a hidden irregular heartbeat (atrial fibrillation) in people who recently had a mini-stroke (TIA). Researchers tested if longer heart monitoring with a small implanted device or a 28-day external patch found more cases than a standard 24-hour test. Finding this condition is crucial because it allows doctors to start the right blood-thinning medication to prevent a more serious future stroke.
