Summary
This study tested whether drinking berry-flavored water could reduce inflammation and muscle soreness after intense exercise. Researchers enrolled 40 generally healthy but not highly active adults. Participants drank either the berry water or plain water daily for several weeks while completing heavy squat workouts, with blood tests and surveys used to measure inflammation and recovery.
