First seen Feb 03, 2026 · Last updated May 12, 2026 · Updated 20 times
Summary
This study tested whether a daily berry extract supplement (from aronia, honeyberry, and bilberry) could improve vision in 27 adults aged 50 and older with presbyopia (age-related difficulty seeing up close). Participants took the supplement or a placebo for 6 weeks, then switched after a break. Researchers measured vision changes using eye tests and blood markers. The goal was to see if the supplement could ease symptoms of presbyopia.
