Summary
This study looks at how berberine hydrochloride, a natural compound used in Chinese medicine, changes the bacteria living in the gut. Researchers will compare healthy volunteers and people who have had colon polyps removed to see if berberine boosts helpful bacteria like Akkermansia. The goal is to understand if these changes might help prevent colon cancer.
