Summary
This study is testing whether a natural compound called berberine can help control a stomach condition called gastric intestinal metaplasia, which increases cancer risk. About 204 adults who do not have an H. pylori infection will take either berberine or a placebo pill daily for six months. Doctors will check if the condition improves or worsens by comparing endoscopy results before and after treatment.
