Summary
This study is testing if a natural compound called berberine can improve thinking and memory problems in people with schizophrenia. It focuses on how the gut and brain are connected. For 12 weeks, 100 participants on stable medication will take either berberine or a placebo to see if it helps cognitive symptoms.
